Something Wicked This Way Comes (何かが道をやって来る, Nanika ga Michi o Yattekuru) is the 15th episode of the Parasyte -the maxim- (寄生獣 セイの格率,, Kiseijū Sei no Kakuritsu) anime series.
Overview[]
After Kuramori's apprentice Abe, goes missing while tailing a associate of Reiko, Kuramori calls on Shinichi for help. This causes Shinichi to become a direct target of the parasites, after killing one while trying to save a woman. Shinichi decides he wants to face more parasites head on, in hopes of protecting his family. After being chased for four hours, Shinichi comes face to face with Miki, a man with three parasites in his body.
Summary[]
Miki lures a young woman to a designated feeding area and kills and eats her and one of Kuramori's assistants, and the investigator approaches Shinichi for help. The boy kills another Parasite that was about to feed, but is unable to save the young woman he brought along.
Kuramori, horrified by what he has witnessed, allows Migi to destroy the Parasite footage he had gathered and calls his investigation off. Shinichi makes it a personal goal to save as many people as he can by eradicating Parasites. Hirokawa's group plans to kill Shinichi and Tamura expresses interest in dissecting him. Hirokawa wants Gotou to go after Shinichi, but the latter considers sending Miki out instead.
The next day, Migi senses three Parasites coming to kill Shinichi, and the boy isolates himself in the countryside. Miki shows up while Migi is asleep and Shinichi leads him on a chase through the countryside.
The episode ends with Migi realizing that all three Parasites are inside Miki's host.

- The title of this episode is from literary work "Something Wicked This Way Comes", along with all the episode titles, are from famous literary works.
- In the anime, the piano song performed by Gotou and incorporated in the background music was Chopin's Nocturne op.9 No.2. In the manga, according to the bars included the original song was Etude Op. 25 No. 11.
