The God of Never Never (ないないの神様) is a short story in the manga anthology Neo Parasyte F, written and illustrated by Kaori Yuki. It is Case 5 in the volume.
Synopsis[]
A rich and beautiful girl named Airi believes herself blessed by fate and calls herself a princess. Her childhood friends are a poor boy and a plain girl who follow her around, obeying her spoiled whims. After an unfortunate accident with a hated neighbor's pet, she brings the corpse to a hole beneath a tree and gives it to the God of Never Never. When the neighbor makes herself a nuisance after the disappearance of her beloved dog, Airi brings her too to the hole and pushes her in to make her disappear.
Summary[]
One of the parasites that formerly made up Gotou's body escaped death, having found a nearby host to decapitate and take over. However, it falls into a deep hole during the merge and is unable to reach the exit. It lives off unfortunate wild animals and the occasional sacrifice, as the hole it resides in is locally known as the portal of the God of Never Never, who makes things disappear without a trace.
One day, a trio of children visit the hole. They had heard of the legend of the God and accidentally killed one of their parents' pet birds, so need it to disappear to avoid getting in trouble. As the leader, Airi, tosses it in, horrible sounds emerge from the hole and scare them away.
