Toshie Fujii (藤井 敏恵 Fujii Toshie) is the wife of Fujii and the mother of Shōko Fujii and Minoru Fujii who is the first person to be killed by a parasite.
Appearance[]
Toshie was a short slightly overweight woman with brown hair and brown eyes. She had a large mole under her left eye.
Personality[]
She seemed to be a caring mother, making sure both her husband and daughter had something to eat before leaving.
Plot[]
Toshie is first seen waking up in the middle of the night when her husband begins making strange sounds, though she brushes it off and goes back to sleep. The next day after sending her daughter to school, she is approached by her husband, who had been taken over by a parasite overnight and bites her head off. Her body is later seen mutilated after her daughter comes home, who is also killed by the parasite.
The death of Toshie, her daughter and son are later reported on the news.
Etymology[]
- The name Toshie means "quick, clever, sharp" (敏) (toshi) and "favor, benefit" (恵) (e).
- Toshie's surname Fujii means "wisteria" (藤) (fuji) and "well, mine shaft, pit" (井) (i).
