Youko Kuramori (倉森 陽子, Kuramori Yōko) is the wife of Shirou Kuramori and the mother of Yumi Kuramori who didn't like his line of work that she often told him so and she was killed by Parasites.
Appearance[]
Youko is a slender woman with a pointed face and long brown hair. She has a mole under her left eye.
Personality[]
She cared for her husband and was worried he'd get into danger from his job, and often reminded him to allow the police to take the risky jobs.
Plot[]
She is first seen presumably coming home from work late one night, and is greeted by her husband. After showering, she sits down with Shirou and has a drink. Remarking on the injury on his arm, she believes he should stick to small cases and leave the dangerous jobs to the professionals. After Shirou comes home late one night, while half asleep, she asks him to go to the store. While Shirou is gone she and her daughter are killed by Kusano and Hikawa in an attempt to wipe out Shirou.
It is later revealed that she was the main income earner in their household and Kuramori the main caretaker when Yumi was an infant.
Etymology[]
- The name Youko means "light, sun, male" (陽) (you) and "child" (子) (ko).
- Youko's surname Kuramori means "warehouse" (倉) (kura) and "forest" (森) (mori).
